A: Yes. The Sunlighter will not only dry wet matches but will light them at the same time, in approximately 10 seconds. The Sunlighter makes a great survival tool or emergency kit item. - Q: Can I use the Sunlighter to start a camp fire?
A: Yes. If it is night time use your high-powered spotlight or high beams to ignite pine needles, tinder, or char-cloth. - Q: Why is the reflector 4" wide? Can it be made smaller?
A: The diameter of the Sunlighter is required to be 4" so that it will work from sun up to sun down. It will not work efficiently if it is made smaller than 4". - Q: Why should I use the Sunlighter when I have a butane lighter or matches?
A: Butane lighters and matches do not work nearly as well as the Sunlighter on a windy day at the beach or on a boat or in any other windy conditions. The Sunlighter will work even when it is extremely windy out and it is a great substitute lighter in windy and wet conditions.
